I remember when Apple used to release every new phone with 16GB. It went on for so many years, it felt it was never going to change. Smart people ended up getting android phones with SD card expansion. That now doesn't seem possible (there's probably a few with SD card slots today). The cost increase from one phone storage size to another is almost always exorbitant. Like $100+ more to double storage capacity. You can get a 256GB sd card on amazon for $27.
