Lukewarm is only because it's not a must buy slickdeal. Just a decent, aka lukewarm, deal for a particular subset.
I won't comment on the phone itself. However, if you are agnostic about the phone you have you can check the Unlocked Samsung trade-in deals. Buy at $300 (flip3, s21) and get $800 for it. I haven't compared the 3-500 dollar Motorolas side by side but I have a hunch you wouldn't hate them. You do have some options. S21 FE is a good phone, regularly had for 400 new, unlocked.
Just poke around a bit. But, again, if you're in that exact subset and are into the Pixel, go for it.

I had 2 orders cancelled, on the second one, I placed the order right in front of the guy, had them pick up and label the phone for pickup in front of me, and then I was told I needed to wait for the activation to go through.
Then after an hour, I received an email saying it's cancelled.
The next step is to talk to the guys there, who called corporate and were told that this is a known issue and not to override any price.
So any of the earlier overrides, that went through, are just that, overrides to honor the price somehow, but since corporate is advising to not override if the store calls, it is extremely YMMV to get the manager to override.
The manager outright refused to override because the option I have to get the phone and "save" $500 is to get the $250 instant savings and get the other $250 through installments on my Tmo bill. He said, technically you get the $500 savings, which is true, and since the option exists, he won't adjust the price. I know he can, but he didn't want to...
The OS and Whatsapp will use up 30% of that alone. Add some 4K 60fps videos, some tools and games and you're getting storage warning.
