Rudeness b/c the person was already told by two other posters regarding this but can't seem to accept. So, yes, please downvote b/c that's the cheapest way to feel self-righteousness

For the folks complaining about signal issues with pixel 6 lineup. I got a 6a and initially had reception issues. Then I went into connection settings and toggled between network preference. 2g, 3g, lte and 5G. Give about 30 seconds between each time you switch. That resolved the issue. I don't know how but it worked for me. Haven't noticed the issue since.

Haven't seen Google try to move so much hardware products before the 6a came out and they started slashing prices and offering promos. Either it's a new marketing strategy or just masking some pending bad revenue news.

Why lukewarm? I'm in the subset of people who need a new phone and don't want to shell out a lot of cash. I happen to be with t-mobile. Haven't seen this new for $400 anywhere.
I think this deal appeals to you then, assuming you're T-Mobile. Also assuming you're not eligible for any of the other offers (like trading in for unlocked Samsumg) or carrier based offers.

Lukewarm is only because it's not a must buy slickdeal. Just a decent, aka lukewarm, deal for a particular subset.

I won't comment on the phone itself. However, if you are agnostic about the phone you have you can check the Unlocked Samsung trade-in deals. Buy at $300 (flip3, s21) and get $800 for it. I haven't compared the 3-500 dollar Motorolas side by side but I have a hunch you wouldn't hate them. You do have some options. S21 FE is a good phone, regularly had for 400 new, unlocked.

Just poke around a bit. But, again, if you're in that exact subset and are into the Pixel, go for it.

It's not worth this level of effort. Saving 25-125 depending on where else you look for one and mint vs new.
Exactly. Unless you're close by, wanting to browse the store, and feeling like chit chatting. Sometimes I'm in that situation.. but not lately. Also as matter of principle, if I had to 'teach' the sales person of a deal, after it was cancelled online for no good reason, sayonara!

You're not buying a Flip 3 on T-Mobile or unlocked for $300. That's AT&T and Verizon. T-Mobile is still $500 and unlocked $850 at Best Buy.

You keep using the word lukewarm but it may be a lukewarm deal for you but not for someone who wants a new pixel 6 pro. Yes you can find them on eBay or swappa but I would rather buy from a reputable store rather than some shady seller on eBay. There are Samsung deals which are comparatively better but for those you need a trade in and some people prefer googles version of android compared to Samsung. So go easy with the word lukewarm.

This should either be marked Very YMMV or outright cancelled. If you go to the store, the only option is to take an instant $250 discount and get the other $250 through bill credits over 24 months, that's how it appears on their end.

I had 2 orders cancelled, on the second one, I placed the order right in front of the guy, had them pick up and label the phone for pickup in front of me, and then I was told I needed to wait for the activation to go through.
Then after an hour, I received an email saying it's cancelled.

The next step is to talk to the guys there, who called corporate and were told that this is a known issue and not to override any price.

So any of the earlier overrides, that went through, are just that, overrides to honor the price somehow, but since corporate is advising to not override if the store calls, it is extremely YMMV to get the manager to override.

The manager outright refused to override because the option I have to get the phone and "save" $500 is to get the $250 instant savings and get the other $250 through installments on my Tmo bill. He said, technically you get the $500 savings, which is true, and since the option exists, he won't adjust the price. I know he can, but he didn't want to...

128GB phone. What is this, a phone for ants?

The OS and Whatsapp will use up 30% of that alone. Add some 4K 60fps videos, some tools and games and you're getting storage warning.
Haven't you heard ant and rubber tree plant? Because he's got high hopes.

You know "bars" are not a valid metric for comparison right? Every phone and firmware establish "bars" differently in their translation from RSSI which is signal strength.
Probably I am just stating what my experience has been

I got this phone at launch and I've been frustrated with it ever since, Samsung nor Apple even have it listed for trade-in's its so bad. At 400 dollars, worth every penny, but at 900 and marketed as a premium device, not even close.
