Rudeness b/c the person was already told by two other posters regarding this but can't seem to accept. So, yes, please downvote b/c that's the cheapest way to feel self-righteousness

I remember when Apple used to release every new phone with 16GB. It went on for so many years, it felt it was never going to change. Smart people ended up getting android phones with SD card expansion. That now doesn't seem possible (there's probably a few with SD card slots today). The cost increase from one phone storage size to another is almost always exorbitant. Like $100+ more to double storage capacity. You can get a 256GB sd card on amazon for $27.
The speed of the storage in modern smartphones is much faster than the sd cards. Sd cards are really slow. If you want to shoot 4k60 videos, most sd cards could not handle it because of low speed.

You're not buying a Flip 3 on T-Mobile or unlocked for $300. That's AT&T and Verizon. T-Mobile is still $500 and unlocked $850 at Best Buy.
You misunderstood. You're buying one for 300 used to get $800 for trade in on unlocked Samsung

I got this phone at launch and I've been frustrated with it ever since, Samsung nor Apple even have it listed for trade-in's its so bad. At 400 dollars, worth every penny, but at 900 and marketed as a premium device, not even close.
You should have done an RMA if it was a serious issue (true overheating or actual no signal most of the time). Hopefully they'll give everyone with the Pixel 6 and below some good pre-order trade-in deals when the Pixel 7 comes out in the next month or two. I believe they are using a ceramic back which handles heat better than the material commonly used on phones these days.

You keep using the word lukewarm but it may be a lukewarm deal for you but not for someone who wants a new pixel 6 pro. Yes you can find them on eBay or swappa but I would rather buy from a reputable store rather than some shady seller on eBay. There are Samsung deals which are comparatively better but for those you need a trade in and some people prefer googles version of android compared to Samsung. So go easy with the word lukewarm.
You just made the perfect case as to why it exactly this, a lukewarm deal. Similar and better deals to be had. Only a small subset it applies to. Price isn't great compared to regular deals available every day. Good, but not great. Some might even say... lukewarm.

Also spare me the reputable portion with Best Buy as they cancel everyone's orders in this thread who try to buy online. Also, come on, 14 day returns with restocking fees.

Edit: Lukewarm

I heard the tensor chipset was slow. Does anyone have any experience with it? Currently using snapdragon 855 and don't want my phone upgrade to become a downgrade in performance.
It is more powerful but much less power efficient than 855.

I think he means getting it used from some marketplace just for the trade-in value towards a new phone.

I think this deal appeals to you then, assuming you're T-Mobile. Also assuming you're not eligible for any of the other offers (like trading in for unlocked Samsumg) or carrier based offers.

Lukewarm is only because it's not a must buy slickdeal. Just a decent, aka lukewarm, deal for a particular subset.

I won't comment on the phone itself. However, if you are agnostic about the phone you have you can check the Unlocked Samsung trade-in deals. Buy at $300 (flip3, s21) and get $800 for it. I haven't compared the 3-500 dollar Motorolas side by side but I have a hunch you wouldn't hate them. You do have some options. S21 FE is a good phone, regularly had for 400 new, unlocked.

Just poke around a bit. But, again, if you're in that exact subset and are into the Pixel, go for it.
I get your point. Honestly, I hadn't even considered buying a phone just for trading it in. I might look into that... I have an S10e at the moment

I see it as you didn't explain it as your post was all over the place but to each their own.

No strings attached you're not finding a better phone than this deal for $400.

It's usually not the SD cards fault. It's just phone manufactures use the worst SD card readers that limits it to a horrible read/write speed.

Try using it in a camera and it will be a night and day difference even though it's the same SD card.

Pixel 6 pro has severe issues with TMobile. Frequently dropped calls. Less bars compared to other phones etc
I second that, I work in downtown Chicago and my OnePlus 8 has more signal strength and holds on to it better than my pixel 6.

He got lucky, see my post too, it is very YMMV, he got it adjusted with a price override at the store, I read somewhere else here too that it took 2 people overriding... It's basically saying: "Hey look, there's this deal where, if you get lucky, you can get a manager override to match this price online where otherwise it would end in a cancellation because this is some sort of price mistake, many many other orders have been cancelled, true, its very well documented that orders are getting cancelled, but disregard that, go to the store and try your luck it's that simple!"

Honestly though, not sure why this "deal" is still live with the multiple cancellations recorded...
