I'd have to see me in person and listen to them, but just from picture alone this looks like over hyped nonsense. In car stereo world you can reverse mount two subwoofers face to face and reverse polarity on one of them so their extension doesn't knock into each other. That looks like what they are doing here. Likely bass ported top and bottom.

Then they have a fancy acrylic formed shell to act as the sub enclosures and it looks like they have horn speakers mounted around the rim for the directed mid and high range.

Honestly, not saying it's not worth the price because they could be using high end speakers here and the craftsmanship may justify a portion of the rest. It's just I can't imagine this configuration is anything amazing.

It isn't unique to reverse sub woofer mount, but it may be something people may not have seen before if they are not hardcore into audio. They do not impart anything magical though, just another method of mounting. Likely why OP likes these is that the bass ports both up and down and probably not forward so you get sub reverb off ceiling and the floor (which may be unique sounding). For this kind of money though you can buy a LOT of other high end speakers on the market. I would not drop cash like this without comparing these vs other high end speakers on the market.

You'd have to hear them in person though since this is not standard which can equate to missing the mark a lot.

A good pair of full range tower speakers is a good place to start if you can handle the size and provided you aren't in an apartment. They will stomp on the speakers this thread is about.

I like both klipsch rp8000f and jbl studio 590 for the money when they are on sale. Hard to beat for the price.

You can run them on as little as an a07 stereo amp that costs $70 and get a lot of return for the investment, or use as high end of an amp as you want.

They're both very efficient and easy to drive and can handle a little or a lot of power and you don't need a sub to get them to sound good.

There are plenty of other good towers in this price range but I went with these for their high efficiency, not all towers can run on cheap small amps and give great sound but these can.

Snells. There are some amazing snell loud speakers you can find if you look.

500 bucks on ebay or less pretty often. Locally maybe way less.

Just one example but a brand no one mentions that I've found some vintage gold in.

Most people don't want to replace drivers, deal with old foam etc. Which I get. But there are just some ridiculous sounding snell loud speakers out there going for next to nothing if you look locally or on ebay.

You'd be paying thousands to match what they can do.

All that being said there can be big differences between the different models made. Do some review checking first.

OP here. I actually have a pretty legit background in audio (many years at Sonos - we also made force cancelling woofers on the Sub), and I would say that these are really pretty different than everything on the market right now. If you look into the origin story of Syng, it was founded by the lead engineer of the HomePod (Afrooz Family, who has since returned to Apple) and Jonny Ive's right hand designer of 20 years. So you can think of these more of like a fully blown out high end much larger HomePod, and all of the DSP goodies and acoustic benefits that come along with that. They are kind of in a new category, and as a couple have pointed out you really have to hear them to see what they're about.

Full disclosure here, I don't own them yet. I've been on their mailing list since they launched in 2020, but truth be told i have so much Sonos at home (13 zones in a town home… haha) that I haven't pulled the trigger on these. I'm mulling it over though because it would be kind of awesome.
