The RX6600M is kind of disappointing when compared to the RTX3060 and about 45% less powerful when compared to a RTX3070 for those wondering.

Keep in mind this has a 1080p screen. GPU should be enough for most games.

Dont matter when for the same price you can get a better 3060 or for another $150 you can get a drastically better 3070 and better CPU to boot. The Legion 5 deal right now for $999.

I'm not familiar with PC/laptop specs but have been wanting to pick one up this year. Would it make sense to wait for Black Friday or will this be a pretty solid bet?

Magic 8 Ball says wait until Black Friday.

But if you need something now this is a good deal if the specifications meet your needs. If you need better graphics then this is not a good deal because of that. (Or other specifications, but graphics seems to be the lowest performing item here and it is not bad for light gaming.)
