Just purchased the exactly same model laptop from a local seller with $200 cash. Not sure if the one I got is a good deal since I will have no warranty at all.

Still a good deal, but FYI, this is the older Surface Laptop Go. There is a "Surface Laptop Go 2" now which has an 11th gen Core i5 vs this 10th gen. The newer one also has Intel Xe graphics vs Intel UHD. Not massive differences, but worth noting. You can certainly save a few hundred $$s with this older refurb model.

Rarely get warranties with stolen goods. It's just normal business practices.
Two year warranty sounds nice, but wondering if anyone knows what this "Allstate Warranty" is really like? Say the display backlight fades out in one area, or the battery degrades to 50% of rated capacity, or something like that ... y'know, where the device still works but doesn't work well or as intended. Will the warranty cover repairs?
This is a good laptop but gotta say, I wonder how older laptops like this don't go for much cheaper given that you can buy new for around the same price and with better specs usually

I had a Squaretrade cell phone warranty and I'm pretty sure Allstate just bought them out.
The one time I used the warranty they repaired the phone but they used non genuine parts so the next time the phone needed out of warranty repairs, the manufacturer refused all service.
Squaretrade used to give you the option of going straight to the manufacturer for repairs and then reimbursing you but I didn't know this at the time.
Are these the ones with the "suede" palm rest? I don't remember which Surface laptops had that. If so, I wonder if that part is replaced during refurbishment.
Edit: nope. If I had just went to the listing I'd have seen that.
