And wifey can't tell the difference between rechargeable and disposable. One year she trashed about $40 worth.
If I go by her standards "things that require a tad extra thought and effort go in the trash" she should be replaced by now also 😁
They did the same to me, are the Walgreen branded batteries any good? I couldn't find much info. Was planning to cancel.
Bought two of AAA and two AA online. Picked them up and returned them. Bought them again and got the clearance price of $1.59 each.

Where do you live? Beachfront or high altitude? Not sure what else could affect that? Only other thing that comes to mind is to keep them in their packaging until use so they don't roll around and touch each other.
Tbh, same here.. it's not often I find leaking batteries anymore and I do it's that one thing I found I haven't seen for years leak. This is regardless of brand because I buy whatever is the cheapest as long as it's labeled alkaline and not "heavy-duty".
Makes me suspicious.. if this is not all part of the whole campaign to shove green down everyone's throat and shame them if they don't swallow and like it.
