No. Singxer SA-1 (~5w per channel?) was just barely enough, and quickly fell apart with any sort of preamp applied for EQ.

Probably need a separate amp, and a crazy powerful one. Singxer SA-1 (~5w per channel) could just barely drive it, and couldn't keep up with even small EQ applied.

The Sony 1000xm5's aren't even better than the 1000xm4's. lol

These are a great performer, especially once you remove the grills after EQ however, they require insane amount of power my A90 barely keeps up

Wow, this price is really tempting. I already have a pair of these and they're great headphones, but I might order a 2nd pair at this price, just to keep a backup pair. I highly recommend these. However, keep in mind these headphones are power demanding. You need a good amp to make them sound great. I have a Burson Soloist 3xp, but a Schiit Jotunheim is good enough.

I have the JDS Labs Atom Stack. Will they suffice?

Would like to know as well.

EDIT: https://www.audiosciencereview.co...-v2.27121/

Looks like the answer is yes after reading a couple of pages of this forum, which you should read for yourself if you want to spend this much money. I am not yet in the market for new headphones but keeping my eyes/ears open for potential replacements when the time comes.

I already have the Ananda, and love them, but this is a curious price. Nearly $100 off from best last deal.

Is it better than a Bose QC without holding onto a live wire?

I wonder if my Schitt Magni Heresy will be enough to drive these.

Although right now I have Hifiman Sundaras and they are great; really don't NEED a new set of headphones laugh out loud

The JDS Labs Atom Stack will suffice as well as the Drop's THX AAA 789 or the THX AAA Monolith by Monoprice, but these amps would likely not exploit these headphones' soundstage and full resolution. They would not sound thin, but not as good as they sound with good headphone amp. Some people say: Buy high end headphones first, amps will come after. I think its a good approach. I first had the Drop THX AAA 789 amp when I received my HE6se from adorama, later on, probably 2 years later I bought the Burson Soloist 3XP.
