This is a very different product. Small, underpowered, and a worse build quality. It's a great device for what it is, but if you just want a nice standard laptop, don't get the "Go" model.

It's good as a basic laptop; I see it as a competitor in the "reasonably high quality, but not up to corporate or Thinkpad standards" laptop.

It's better than most of the low-end consumer laptops, like the Asus Vivobook.

The screen is not full 1080p, but is otherwise of good quality, and 3:2 ratio has LOTS of fans.

The keyboard and touchpad are good, but the trackpad is on the small side. Keyboard isn't backlit. Frown

It's a good, well supported laptop; BIOS updates are trivial (Windows Updates…), it looks classy and clean (unlike so much else that I see at BestBuy), and the processor and speed are perfectly fine (it's last-gen Intel, because just about everything Microsoft sells is one full generation behind everyone else.)

There are lots of reviews on this. At the full list, I don't think it's compelling, but while on sale, particularly with open box (check for the 256GB versions, don't limit yourself to 128GB…) it becomes a lot more interesting.

And Sage Green just looks classy.

Oh, and lots of people confuse "Surface Go" with "Surface Laptop Go", so be sure you're comparing against the right thing. The Surface Go lineup is VERY low end tablets with a keyboard you can buy (aftermarket) and attach; this, the Surface Laptop Go (2), is a normal laptop in a small and thin form factor.
