You shouldn't ever use an impact to tighten lug nuts. You could barely snug them but the final tightening should be done by hand with a torque wrench. Some use torque sticks to limit torque of an impact to tighten lug nuts but I wouldn't trust that myself.
Just a reminder for those who don't have any Ryobi tools this does NOT come with a charger even though it comes with a battery. So you will need a charger or buy another tool that you may want to add into the Ryobi system that comes with a charger.
