That's a not a bad bike for the price!
I question some of the spec decisions on this though - there really should not be a front derailleur on mtb.. especially a lower end like this. Also it does look like wheels have schrader valve instead of the presta, and both tires and rims are not tubeless compatible. None of it is a deal breaker though. The rest of the parts is par for the course for this price range.

Both price and size in the title are incorrect.

OP's copying title from previous deal posted 09/11 "Polygon Premium 5 media size priced at $449"
https://slickdeals.net/f/16033270-mountain-bike-27-5in-polygon-premier-5-grey-lemon-449?src=SiteSearch
then changed size media to small in the content for the bikesonline's price started Sunday night at $499. Also the model year for both deal are incorrect. It should be 2021 model. If you search 2022 premium 5 will get different price

I have a Polygon D7 but for a hardtail the Axum or Axum DP would be a better choice just because this has outdated geometry (73 vs 73.5 seat tube angle, 69 vs 67.8 head tube angle, straight head tube vs tapered on the Axum) and it has boost spacing which means wider tires can be fitted. If you need a small this is a good choice otherwise I'm 5'5" and the medium Axum DP is my most used bike. If you can do large the Axum for $228 is a no-brainer.

All those specs and stuff are irrelevant if the bike doesn't fit. This deal is for a size small, the Axum is a size large. I don't care how wonderful of a bike you think the Axum is, it's complete crap if it doesn't fit the rider.

Medium sized axum isn't even available anymore so this comment is wholly irrelevant

That one is $500 and still much larger than the bike in this deal.

First and foremost, find a bike that fits. Cost and components are irrelevant if the bike doesn't fit.

All lower spec MTB have front derailleurs don't they? Name one in this price range that doesn't and I feel you'd be hard pressed.

LOL..you keep spewing that "outdated geometry" nonsense. As any mt bike rider knows. geometry of traditional vs slack means squat on the trail. The Axium is a low spec'd bike with mech disc brakes vs hydro's on the Polygon, Axium has a lower end fork with 100mm travel with 120mm on the Polygon and another shortcoming of the Axium is a no name crank vs Shimano on the Polygon. The big fail of the Axium is it doesn't have a chain guide (clutch) and that means it will throw the chain. There is a reason mt bikes use them..they work.
