After playing for a few hours I remember crying because the game was so bad and I wasted all my gaming money

I loved this game.. it's artfully done. I never LOVED the story, but it was enough to keep me going.

The music and the art though was spectacular.

Looked up Wikipedia since I was wondering too. This is actually the 4th game in the Mana series (but not Seiken Densetsu 4, this is a spinoff) but still by the same director.

Put many hours into this as a kid. Never figured out how to make the 'perfect' weapons even while following a guide step by step, but you can still make just about anything overpowered enough to beat the game.

After getting Octopath Traveler I've been trying to find other good JPRGs. I don't know if anything will come close to the og Golden Suns or a few others but I'm glad to see a renewed interest. I liked Octopath one enough I might even pay full price for 2. 😂
