Looks like it's a gamble.. even though it shows NA box on some of the reviews people state they have received items meant for other regions.

If it is another region can't get dlc with a NA account just FYI

also this game has 600 gold points ($6) back on the eshop until end of September if you wanted that.

Switches are region free, so that wouldn't matter. I'm rolling the dice on this one because that's the best price it's going to be for a long time, outside of a Holiday deal.

They are selling the same item on eBay. People complained this is the EU version on previous items.
Nothing against EU version, but I will pass.

Is the Switch online account going to be basically mandatory for this like it was for 2, or does it work ok as a standalone?

Dang... I posted this on Slickdeals for the eBay version of this deal a little while back and got hammered by TDs. I guess the Walmart Return policy and $2 less makes it better, but you got treated way better OP.

My hot take is I went with digital for Splatoon 3. I wish I had for Splatoon 2. While personally I usually like physical copies more, basically the whole game is online so I'm not really worried about preservation.

As for the game itself it's okay. It's really not that much different then Splatoon 2.
