Excellent deal. I have a 10 year old Quintet 3 setup in my living room with the SW-350 sub and everyone that visits is impressed by them. Audiophiles keep moving, this setup is for your average joe looking to add a little umph to the livingroom. I also have a Synergy series setup in my basement/mancave and couldnt be more happy with it.

This is a great deal and I concur that it's a good basic system. A friend has one with a entry level Marantz amp and watching football games is great with this thing. I watched the last Star Wars movie there as well and I enjoyed the system a lot. For someone who has a home theater, this is not for you, go spend $3000 or more and get something terrific. But for a living room, it's pretty good for $229.

They're just speakers. They play what you feed them. Your content source and receiver need to support Dolby Surround. (And most do these days.)

The .4 at the end is for dolby atmos. That system requires a much more expensive receiver than this one to use its full capability

This is a 5.1 system and the one you linked is a 5.1.4 system. Atmos uses top-firing speakers.
