Review for the newer model (same chipset, different color):
https://www.audiosciencereview.co...a222.2036/

The reviewer found that their laptop performed better than the audio interface. And before anyone says the newer model has a different chipset, scroll down the thread. Both the UCA202 and UCA222 now use the new cheaper chipset, and quality is a gamble. They didn't even change out the injection molds between models.

Edit: For some reason, slickdeals is butchering the url, and the link is going to a the forum and not the thread itself. Try searching for "Budget DAC Review and Measurements: Behringer UCA222" by amirm of audio science review
This is useful for injecting record player or other aux into sonos via raspberry pi. https://www.instructables.com/Add...pberry-Pi/
Limited usefulness for most traditional recording studio type tasks since it only has RCA inputs, but would be useful for digitizing cassette tapes and vinyl.

I cant find the post you are talking about when I follow that link, just links me to the forum, not the post. These Soundcards are for lower latency than 99% of your on-board soundcards in laptops. Assuming you are using the ASIO4ALL drivers, as these soundcards dont have dedicated drivers from Behringer. These do have an in and an out, but nobody really uses them, but they DO work, ive used them before. Ive been using these soundcards for over 15 years when I am on the go and need ASIO driver compatibility when im away from my home setup. These soundcards are perfect for use when using a DAW on a laptop in headphones while NOT at your dedicated home setup/studio. These are definately NOT for professional use, but their sound quality and latency is far superior to on-board laptop soundacrds in 99% of the cases. They are tiny. Coupled with a FiiO E6 or E10 headphone amp if you have a pair of Higher Ohm cans and need more volume, makes it even better. I have several.

-edit- That is not my link or website, just a very good resource on the soundcard.

You can get 3.5mm to rca splitters for under $5 on amazon, off ebay for around $3 and less than $2 if you can wait for shipping, or phono to RCA, etc.

I was going to say the same thing having done it very recently. I actually had to buy a new cassette player since the ones I've had in storage broke down mechanically. They certainly don't build 'em like they used to, at least on the inexpensive side. They're outright terrible which is expected since no reputable companies are making them.

I can't tell for sure if you followed what I was getting at. It *is* useful for digitizing analog sources like cassettes or vinyl. Any other recording studio type uses I would pass on due to the RCA inputs and outputs. No need to use 3 adapters to get into this interface when you can get a proper one with XLR/TS/TRS inputs for well under $100. Yes I'm aware this is 10 bucks, but some folks expect it to enable them to record their next fire mixtape...

Thanks for the info. I bought my first-ever-in-my-life electric guitar a while ago, would this work well for some simple mix recording? I have a cheap mixer (link [amazon.com]) that supports multiple inputs. Thought I can hook them together with proper adapters. Any suggestions? Thank you.

This is good for converting digital audio out via it's SPDIF connector. Works perfectly with external DACs and my Volumio/RaspberryPI setups.
