I'll continue to rock my 1st generation ones until they give, but I wanted to warn you guys. It's an AMAZING head set, it's just absolute bummer of a product issue I'd rather you folks not face later on.
That being said, for 250, that's a great price.
For those that own the Arctis Pro Wireless, here's the comparison - https://www.rtings.com/headphones...sh
IMO it's not worth upgrading from the Arctis Pro. Otherwise it's a nice headset overall.

Can't recommend it enough, it's a step up from the Arctis Wireless Pro that I was using prior. Definitely one of the best headsets I've had the pleasure of using, especially for gaming

Agree. This is is an amazing deal for this product. Almost jumped at the 12% off deal a few days ago which would have made it $308. At $250 it's an instant buy
Edit: Nevermind, that's the wired model.

I'm liking it so far, but the XBox version has a major bug (actually I think it's affecting all versions; a couple of Reddit threads on it) - the base station doesn't turn off at all when it's connected to the XBox, even when the XBox is asleep. The display keeps turning on and off every few seconds. On Reddit, some posted that the company is saying it's so the unit can charge the battery even when the system is off. Well, that doesn't make sense. The Artis Pro Wireless also continues to charge. But at least the screen goes off.
Another irritant is that while using the system, the front display permanently stays on. On the Arctis Pro you could set the display to turn off after a minute or so (even when using the headset). This way the OLED wouldn't keep getting burned in. Also, if you are watching something in the dark you don't want a constant on display in front of you. To be fair - this was a feature added on the Arctis Pro just a few years back. Initially you could only dim it, and not turn it off. So here's hoping they add that feature to the Nova Pro as well.
Some more observations for anyone interested -
I had the USB port connected to the Switch while the XBox port was connected to the XBox. I realized that the switch cannot supply enough power to the base station, so the other port needs to be connected to something. The constant on and off display was annoying and so I connected the XBox port to the PS5, just so it can provide power (while I was playing on the Switch). The blinking went away, but as soon as I turned off the system the blinking front display came back - just the steelseries logo this time.
TLDR; - the unit cannot be kept permanently connected to a powered USB port, or the display won't turn off. Even if the constant blinking doesn't annoy you, this will eventually lead to burn-in of the OLED screen. So one has to physically disconnect the base station - but then the second battery won't charge. Multiple people complaining of this. Hope it gets fixed soon.
