Personally I am partial to Thinkpads something like a t480 or e480 with FHD screen
For those complaining that the price went back up to $379, I still see it as $329 as of right now (1:03pm ET) on Walmart for all 4 colors...
Thank you for this recommendation. I'll look into those.

I know many likely had success with it, but I had a webcam issue and a dead pixel on the screen, then I exchanged it. The second was better but has issues with touchpad not always recognizing my finger and the cursor "jumps" on the screen.
Tech support feels non existent. Nice specs but don't let it fool you.

Sound is pretty awful and at higher volumes it makes those cracking distortions. It's tuned by THX but they must have been drunk because it sounds pretty terrible.
Display has backlight bleeding in corners but I guess that comes within this price territory.
Trackpad is a fingerprint magnet unfortunately and the clicks are pretty loud.
Other than those negatives though, everything else seems pretty good. Very snappy and responsive. The specs are very good for the price so hopefully the hardware lasts.
