You tell them you're a Sole Proprietor. You don't have to have a "busniess" or an entity (LLC, C-Corps, etc) to have business expenses. I'm a landlord, not a business, but I need this card to keep all my expenses separate.

You tell them you're a Sole Proprietor. You don't have to have a "business" or an entity (LLC, C-Corps, etc) to have business expenses or even to apply for this card. I'm a landlord, not a business, but I need this card to keep all my expenses separate. They may deny you, simply call the Reconsideration Line 800-453-9719 and answer their questions. Explain to them youre asole proprietor for your "business. " They don't verify nor can they.

As it pertains to this application, there is a drop-down bar that'll allow you to just enter your SS#. I missed it the first time until a someone gave me a heads up

Chase web application is updated so that now without a business, application will not be accepted. Using sole proprietor
and social sec. number will not pass application. Sad to say, as would like the card and am more than qualified (business
not included)

"business not included", so you're NOT qualified.

Yes. Unlike Amex, Chase pretty much DGAF how you meet the SUB requirements, even for biz cards.
11-18-2022 at 12:56 PM
heck yes- that's what I'm doing with it! F you county for jacking up my taxes. I'm getting $900 back from chase after paying you!

no

Yes.
I said I was a sole proprietor.
Technically I have a LLC, but from reading all the posts, it is much easier to just use my SSN and get approval.
Got approved for $3K which is enough to get the $900 bonus.

You could consider opening as a Sole Proprietor, in which case your SSN will be your tax ID.
LLC and TIN are not required.
Not true, I just did this ten minutes ago.
If you have chase reserve, you can move these points and redeem for travel at 1350$ value

Yes this indeed looks like a good deal, but not everyone can spend $6000 within 3 months though.

Since I'm not currently a business owner I'd probably lose money on this card.

Like I cannot for the life of me think of how to spend $6k on a card in 3 months. My car is paid off, my mortgage won't let me pay it by credit card, and everything essential in my life is probably $500/month. That would leave me with $4500 I have to spend to get back $900. So essentially I'd be losing $3600 instead of gaining $900. If you can think of a way or know that you have to spend $6k in 3 months like for business expenses, now you've got a reason to use it.

Don't use a card to get cash back, use it because you already have to and might as well get some cash back for it.

I did this a few years ago. It worked great. They closed the account for not using the card in the last year. I wonder if I'm eligible to get another

I hadn't heard of Chase closing cards for non-use. Does this rule apply to Chase Business cards only - or have people experienced this with Chase Personal cards?

Yes, it's referred to as "cash back" but it comes in the form of URs.
