The other factor that made this a relatively easy decision for me to get a such a minor upgrade in ladders is that the extra several feet really will make a difference when I use a pole saw to trim our fully-grown trees. Perhaps the 26' higher-loan capacity ladder would be even better, but that one seems like it could be fairly unwieldy to handle.
So that being said, opening it all the way an extending it to the single-ladder (tall) position is a pain. Doable but… yeah.
Overall a great ladder that will last forever no doubt, but one other thing that some people don't like is the steps are about half as wide as a normal ladder which could make it uncomfortable if you're standing on it for a long time.

You could also lift weights so you get stronger and not think it is that heavy.

I would agreed and disagreed with your comment. I agreed that 17-18' ladder perhaps the ideal length for average homeowners and a bit easier to carry. However, in my case, i desperately need taller ladder due to some area inside /outside my house is outreach by the 17' ladder. I just picked up this ladder and notice the functionality is quite similar with little.giant. Very sturdy.
So that's a alot stronger and more comforting so you can have a helper on the other side no problem!
Well no offense but too heavy is subjective. I did a actually buy this ladder and it's only 37lbs...
I'm 30 so for me and I find it very easy to move aroynd over my old extension ladder that does not break down.
Now configuration wise I have not messed with yet so no comment from me .
If yours is heavier then mine and on the east coast I would trade you for it I like the heavy duty aspect of the 350 lbs
I can get them both for the same price.
Thanks,
Mike
