Thanks for posting, bought this 3 years ago for $150. Had to replace the grates within 2 months, they rusted out. Bought stainless grates on Amazon for $30. Still going strong, even heat distribution. Starting to see rust on the back below the stainless cover, should get another couple years.

Posted as looks like a decent one. Never used it though. I was always looking for something with a side burner under $200. Would have been better if shipping is available instead of pickup

40,000 BTU medium size grill for $200 is a pretty good deal. If you get even just 2 years out of it thats $100 per year. Its like getting a $1000 grill that last 10 years except the cooking experience is a bit worse but you get to get a new grill every few years. There is something to be said about semi disposable grills IMO because gas grills take a lot of cleaning to keep in good shape if you cook on them frequently.

Basically the same Home Depot grill I've been using for 12+ years. I replaced the triangular metal pieces that go over the flames and use perforated stainless steel grilling dishes over the mostly rusted-out grills. There is also a drip pan that totally rusted out under the bottom, which I've replaced with a flattened-out aluminum disposable baking pan.

Tempted to buy a nicer grill, but have two friends who bought Webers, which don't get nearly as hot as my cheap grill.

Saw this in store today. I'm currently stuck between spending a lot on a Weber that hopefully lasts a long time or buying some basic grill like this for a fraction of the price and replace it after few years. Don't know what to do.

You can buy cast iron griddle and throw it on top of the grates. Since it has a lid it will be warmer then an open air griddle. There was a cheap Jack Daniels one on SD. I do this with my sometimes, way less smoke in the kitchen.

I had the same question. But since this is my first grill, just wanted to go with the basic one. Also it has a side burner which I'm waiting to buy

If you don't plant on cooking for many people, the 210 is perfect for up to 4. A reasonable thing would be to look at the square inches of cooking surface as that's something very useful. I bought a cheap charbroil and while I like it and it cooks much better than my dads $200 (on sale) cuisinart stainless steel grill, the Weber is nice.

Charbroil also has their performance line which isn't bad, but Weber 210 has a 10 year warranty for most of their parts which is also very nice.
