I have a very old Epson inkjet. when I install an aftermarket ink cartridge, it will say it's not genuine Epsone ink and asks you if you want to continue. I can just click yes and still use the printer.
I have heard that newer Epson printers doesn't allow you to do that anymore. The printer will flat out refuse any third party ink. If this is the case, then this is not a good deal, in fact this will become very expensive very fast.
