I am working from home with just the dogs, no plans for a Thanksgiving dinner. My brother and SIL invited me to their place for dinner but I'm feeling a bit hermit-ish.

Having our son over for turkey and all the sides; been working all morning but pretty much done now. Just waiting for the good smells to fill the house. No big celebration as our family pretty much consists of the three of us but it's an improvement from when we lived half way across the country from out son so I'm thankful for that.

hug I just made some green bean casserole... there are only a few things that say Thanksgiving dinner to me. I don't eat much meat so it'd be silly to buy a turkey to roast. I had mashed potatoes last week laugh out loud so apparently I am stretching out turkey dinner over the course of weeks ...one side at a time.

Beverages aren't as expensive as food and last longer, so I have tea, coffee, eggnog, Sprite, hot chocolate, apple cider... That's what I miss about not having family - having a larger assortment of food to choose from for snacking. drool

My neighbors put up the tackiest looking nativity scene in the whole damn trailer park. I'm thinking about rescuing everybody around here from having to look at the crap for a month. They are out shopping for black Friday now, should I sell it on ebay or just keep it until next year & decorate my fema trailer with it then?
