Excellent price for a excellent inverter generator. I got mine for $580 about a year ago and I thought that was a steal.
A 2200 running watt inverter takes care of standby for electronics, refrigeration, furnace fan and the rest while saving quite a bit of fuel.
A good 6k running watt conventional like Briggs and Straton will have a 389 cc engine which doesn't bog down when starting compressors and motors and the output is clean enough for electronics. Economy 240V conventionals like Westinghouse 5300 274 cc have significantly smaller engines and wide voltage fluctuation which won't harm a water heater but will shorten the life of tools and compressors if used long enough. The smaller engine does give better fuel economy though, 0.42 gph 50% loaded, 0.32 gph 25% loaded per punlished specs.

2000 isn't enough juice. You have to get two of them wired in parallel. Some people go that route because lifting two of those is easier than one of the 3500 units.
