Sorry I know it was a long post, but at the end of it there are instructions on how to get the discounts. You have to sign up for the free Cricut Access membership trial and use the code "homemade" at checkout

After researching i went with the original maker. The only difference was the ability to use smart materials which most say arent worth it.

It depends what you plan on making. The main benefits are its ability to print longer prints up to 2x faster. If you don't need that and you don't want the ability to use smart materials, I would stick with the older Maker
