Quote from oneweak7words :
I'd like to get a cricut machine to make custom vinyl stickers but the selection of machines, tools, and supplies and apparent subscription requirements is totally overwhelming. I looked at the cricut joy which seemed fine for my purposes, with price, simplicity, and size to ease my mind but reviews on the joy size vinyl are awful and I don't see other brands or options in that 5.5" size. So I felt overwhelmed again. The restrictive return process makes me extra nervous; I don't want to dig myself into a super expensive hobby that doesn't end up actually accomplishing what I'd hoped. Does anybody have suggestions as to the easiest way to get into die cut stickers, either a set of products that are tried and tested or a bundle or even an entirely different machine perhaps? I suppose if doing more than one color I'd have to get a nice inket printer as well, correct? I saw some pictures of cricuts with markers in place of cutting tools but I can't imagine that looking good on a sticker.
From what I've seen just vinyl stickers can be done with the explore series and save a bit. Haven't tried these codes with it though.

I bought this combo directly from Cricket last year. I would rather buy from
Joann's, Michael's, or another craft store than directly. It took 6 weeks for Cricket to delivery directly to me.

Is cheaper from Cricut than Costco and it includes more variety of sample materials and tools. I got Cricut Maker (not 3) with Everything bundle for about $240 (this is including taxes.).

Does this come with all point heads? Like rotary and blade knife?
I think the Maker 3 only comes with the fine point blade. The older Maker comes with the fine point blade and rotary tool.

What machine or bundle are you trying? I'm still able to get both discounts to stack to bring it down to $340.19 in my cart

I tried to get the bundle. Ending up with just going with the machine.
