EDIT: Tried it anyway. They create a username and PW for you and display it / email it, once you sign up for a new plan. Don't use Newsgroups all that much, but thought a non-expiring 1TB block might come in handy for $4.99.

This. I had no problem getting a block with a temporary username and password. I use it as a secondary server in the event that blocks are missing on primary server (sometimes you get lucky).
