Pretty good starter table with potential for upgradeability than the LP60 which this is based on. It can be used both in automatic and manual mode with regards to needle placement. Compared to a Crosley or Victrola, this won't damage your records noticeably (every playback on vinyl does cause some wear, but cheap brands with poor needles will degrade your record much quicker). At this price it's a no-brainer given it is priced the same as the LP60's "normal retail price".
Wow. Great price. I have this TT but have never used it. I need the head shell and cartridge for it. I was just looking to buy last night and it would cost about $100 to buy what I need. Ha
What do I need besides this? I've been wanting to pick up a record player but I imagine this need a speaker system?
this has an amp built in so youd just need speakers. this is a nice one but they do have cheaper options out there if you are only just starting to get into it and arent sure youll stick with it

Any recommendations? I have had a Victriola in my carts for weeks but I don't want to buy a junky one that'll be useless and sound crappy.

actually kinda take back what i said, at this price point you might as well go for this. i tend to recommend the Hayday from Target which is usually around $100. But honestly this price is a steal and you wont find anything new better for a lower cost. If you want to check used you could find a decent one for less money

Too bad this was apparently a price mistake, I would've bitten.
