As a DIY mechanic myself, my cars are always close to the ground and my 700 lumen M12 Rover works well enough. Having said that, I can see this being indispensable if you work under cars on a lift everyday.

$150 for this combo is a good deal though, Milwaukee niche lighting has quite the premium. The underhood light is almost always $200 all year round (tool only). So to get the under lift light for $50 less than that plus a battery is a good deal for a side hobbiest w access to a lift or fulltime mechanic.

an articulating arm, with LEDs on the end... almost 300$ for 1200 lumens!
I don't see the usefulness of this if the car isn't on a lift. If it's on jack stands, I don't think there is enough clearance for the arm of this light. And the hefty price tag...even on special buy!!
Check with your local authorities, they can probably help you
