    What happened to the big "GPU Discount Wave" that we were supposed to see on BF continuously spouted by the "Hold The Line" experts? The upper tier card pickings have been next to non-existent; very few and far between. What we've been seeing is a lot of these lower tier cards on sale - and not by much. For those that Held The Line (like me), it's been a really disappointing BF as the 'huge savings" never materialized.

    Amazon [amazon.com] has the Sapphire Radeon Pulse RX 6500 XT 4gb for $149.99 w/ 2 games.

    I do suggest if you have the money to get a RX 6600 because the performance difference is big however if you are on a tight budget this is not to bad for the money.

    Simple: people didn't hold the line. I can yell HOLD till I pass out, but if there are still others with more money than sense willing to spend $700 for a mid-range graphics card, then the prices will stay where they are. The industry will continue to keep their prices as high as they are allowed. And gamers currently allowing it by voting with their wallets and buying overpriced crap.

    with professional e-gaming taking off and is what everyone is watching and talking about, the winners is determined in a large way by the hardware in their computer. Rendering at 361 fps instead of 320 and hertzes of 175 instead of 144 is what gets the trophy and highest spot on the podium and a page in wikipedia, Even at current prics its many times cheaper than parts for a dirt track race car

    Im not a pro gamer. Im using 2 19" monitor atm. I like Fallout 76 and Red Dead 2 on the xbox, would like to try ton the PC. I have a 5600G in box should I return and get a 5600X and this card for a dramatically better visual and gaming experience?

    This is probably what the card should have cost when launched. RX6600 is a much better deal at around 50-60 dollars more. Especially if your board isnt PCIE Gen4 (Gen 3 cripples this card)

    Whatever you decide, don't buy this card. It's hot garbage. Even if the performance is okay for you, it's a horribly gimped card out of the box and you will run in to its limitations. You're way better off spending the extra money on a rx6600 (I know it's like 33% more expensive than this card, but this should be $100 max).
