These are an improved model with BT 5.1 and EQ. I ride a road bike and this allows me to hear surrounding traffic while listening to books. I don't have to worry about ear buds falling out either. I think I will buy another at this price.

Depends how loud it is. If volume is really high, it sounds very tinny if that makes sense.
These are not silent to people nearby in quiet spaces if you have them cranked up.
I would opt for the openrun if you're going to run because you're going to be sweating and you never know when it will rain.
I had bought a cheaper no-name import brand and the sound was really not good and hard to get a decent volume using the headphones and my cell phone.
