This generator normally sells and lists online for $1,000 more at competing stores than the current price making it almost HALF the expected price of this and other competing similarly sized full-frame generators from other brands. This is the lowest price I have ever seen a full frame inverter generator from a reputable (or any) brand in the past. The full frame version is 11DB quieter than the equivalent open frame inverter generator from Champion. 7,000 running watts almost maxes out the 220v 30a (7,200W) outlet making it an ideal size for whole-home backup power.
Starting Wattage: 8500W
Running Wattage: 7000W
Engine: 4-stroke 420cc OHV
Fuel Tank: 5.3 Gallon
Run Time: Up to 14 hr.
Assembly Required: Yes (minor)
Product Dimensions: 26H" x 33.4W" x 29.1D"
Included Items: USB Charging Adapter, Wheel Kit, Oil Funnel, Battery Charging Cables
There is a $225.99 Oversized delivery charge that applies to BOTH ship to home or ship to store as this will ship via freight truck on a pallet.

This generator has a lower to equivalent perceivable volume to me standing next to it outside as my old one did from inside of the house.
The power is clean with the inverter, it's easy to work on, and rather well weatherized for outdoor use. I'm impressed with the build quality and thoughtfulness in the product design. I'm very happy with my purchase.
Would a transfer switch use the 240V outlet?
Also wondering if anyone knows of a dual fuel model similar to this? I know using propane doesn't generate as much power as gas so could it even power a generator this big?
I researched Champion's website the other day and I don't think they offer any dual fuel models past 5,000W.
I like the idea of dual fuel since I always have a propane tank available and it can be stored indefinitely as opposed to dealing with storing gas and disposing of it if it goes bad.

If you do google a shopping search, a duckduckgo shopping search, or click "where to buy" on the Champion website you will see that every other retailer has these priced around $2300.
This seems like a brand new model. I did not see it when I checked 6 months ago. I suspect the tractor supply pricing information is likely a pricing mistake or maybe a loss leading promotion to get some reviews (less likely).
I'm not sure why it's this cheap but I can't imagine ever finding anything comparable from a reputable brand without paying significantly more.
Is anyone seeing this available locally?
Lowe's also included free shipping so that's great.
