Okay, it's been this price at Walmart for some time - in BLACK, that is. Notice that the Green, Blue, and Gray all sell for $120. So, if you're particular about your garbage can color, then this deal may not be for you. Please feel free to Google "Toter 64 Gallon" and see if you can find anyone else close to Walmart's price - on the Black Toter 64 Gallon. Even Walmart wants $120 for this same can in the other colors. Lowe's sells the 64 gallon for $109, Home Depot sells it for $95, Amazon has it listed for $240. The closest price I found was StineHome.com, which sells it for $90 ($40 shipping or free pickup) -- and I don't know how many people live near a Stine Home.

The above said, besides Walmart's very good "regular" price on the Toter 64 gallon in Black, these garbage cans are simply the best you can buy in this price range. I own two, myself, and purchased them after quickly burning through cheaper plastic cans. Toter sells other sizes, but the 64 gallon seems to be the best bang-for-the-buck size. Also, note, unlike most other cans, Toter offers a rather long 10 year warranty on their garbage cans. Toter offers an online claim form [toter.com] and has an 800 phone number if you ever have a warranty claim.

The Toter bin is built to last and designed with ergonomics in mind. With an ideal handle height and rugged wheels, the Toter bin makes maneuvering a breeze. Toter bins are designed to keep working long after others fail by using Toter's Advanced Rotational Molding process. The rugged rim technology and reinforced material in critical wear areas, adds rigidity and extends the service life of the Toter bin. Perfect for indoor or outdoor use, this can is made of up to 50% recycled materials and is 100% recyclable.
  • Molded using up to 50% recycled content and are 100% recyclable
  • Constructed using Toter's Advanced Rotational Molding, our trash cans are built for toughness and maximum impact resistance
  • Toter trash cans are flexible with a 360-degree rotating steel stop bar to bounce back from trash day, every day
  • Rugged Rim technology and reinforced material in critical wear areas adds rigidity and extends the service life of our 2-wheel carts
  • Toter's bins are backed by Industry leading 10-year limited warranty
  • Toter trash cans come with securely attached lid to keep the contents inside and handle rough weather and wind
  • Rugged wheels and ideal handle height make Toter cans easy to tilt and roll through any terrain
  • Textured granite finish masks normal wear and tear by helping to hide scuffs, scratches, and unsightly dirt
  • The universal design of Toter trash can make it compatible with automated and semi-automated curbside collection waste truck lifters
  • Perfect for indoor or outdoor use

I will come to you when I have questions about a trash bin.
Spoken like someone who's never used one of these. They're worth every penny. Sure we're slickdealers here so I was once ignorant as you are now. I looked at Walmart when renting my first house and scoffed at the $80 trash bin and said "forget that" and picked up a case of ramen with my $20 Rubbermaid trash can. Little did I know that that trash can would only survive a few months and I'd have to buy the big giant toter anyways. Which has now lasted me 10 years. So where I thought I was saving $60 I was actually wasting $20. So there you go, lesson learned.

The cheapest price isn't always the slickest deal.
I'm sorry OP, but this deal is just utter garbage...

Why are you burning through trash cans? Seems better to burn outside and away from the trash cans first.

Check with your city/township first. In Charlotte, NC they only charged $30-$50 for a new can and delivered it for me. It's been a few years so prices might have gone up.

Not sure what kind of deal it is. In my area (Anaheim), you need to pay if you want to have an extra bin collected and they provide the bin at the same time. Guessing it's the same almost everywhere in the US…

This is a great deal for people who live in the country who have to provide their own trash bins! Definitely hopping on this to replace the lighter cheaper ones we have now!

It depends on who you get the trash through and area. The county prisoners pick up our trash and they don't provide any bins. Some people just put bags of trash in the front yard and hope the strolling dogs don't tear it up.

I've had one for almost four years and another one for two and they really are the best. I tried the $30 Rubbermaid ones way back when and they developed holes in the bottom and the handle went missing each time.
