Got the same thing
Buy a separate fire stick for your travels. Set it up at home with all your apps and log ins.
When you get to the hotel, just connect to the tv and go to network settings and connect it to the hotel Wifi. Voila, no more watching Mario Lopez' ugly mug selling you pay per view trash!!!
Edit:
Bring an extension cord. Some TVs are far away from power outlets. And need to change remote to tv brand. Finally, some hotels seriously lock down their trash tv's and this won't work. I've successfully gotten this to work in 90% of the hotels I've been to. Although makes me deeply appreciate my LG OLED tv at home.

Is the QR code URL generic or tied to a one time use code?

Lopez' perma-grin creates nightmares for children.
