I have these cheap Chinese brands sold under a thousand names and also the Irwin.

Bought the Irwin when the cheap one started slipping. Meaning it would just stretch the insulation and not stripe it.

There's a certain finess to these things. It has to grab the insulation without tearing the copper.

Irwin worked better for me. YMMV.
