I really like the brand, but have never tried this blend. I'm in for 1. Thx to OP!

Cameron's is nothing special but I don't mind it. I bought this blend when it was on sale for $19 in July. It was decent for the price but I wouldn't pay over $5/lb for it. It's roughly on par tastewise with their Velvet Moon blend, which my local Costco usually has 2 lb for $9.

Thanks for the feedback. How about this vs lavazza?

I'm a fan of this dark roast blend. I have it in my S&S now, $19.87 w/15% S&S. It's not Starbucks dark, but I consider it a dark roast and I think it tastes similar. It's robust but very smooth. It has a good aroma. If you like Starbucks, you'll probably like it, if not, you won't. I don't have any tasting notes because we're actually on a different blend of beans right now, and I can't recall the specifics. I just remember it was good. I've bought it twice now and both my wife and I think it's great. It comes in a no frills white bag. The last bag we received had about a one year shelf-life (unopened), so I assume it was roasted fairly recently. Bagged coffee like this is never likely to be roasted last week, and 4lbs is a lot of coffee. We use mason jars with the vacuum sealer attachment for the rest of the coffee. It works for us. I don't think there's a better value for organic 100% Arabica beans anywhere. With the 15% S&S discount it's $4.97 a lb. I'm still going Lavazza BLUE capsules right now, so I haven't been able to try it for espresso, but it works well for drip. I went back and read some reviews on SD dogging this coffee. Interesting, but SD is a tough crowd. The Amazon reviews are good. These Hoffman impersonators should give us the superior alternative dark roast organic 100% Arabica to try for $4.97 a lb. I haven't seen any, but I'm open to try anything.

I haven't bought Lavazza in awhile. Last I tried of theirs was the Italiano (I think, the bag was black and gold) and I thought it was bland. The Cameron's was a little better. Here's the thread from the July deal if it helps:

Thanks, I think I'll pass. 4 pounds is a bit too much for a 50:50 chance I'll end up enjoying it.

You'd have to be a little more specific comparing, which Lavazza, Super Crema, Espresso Italiano, Top Class, Crema e Aroma, Rossa? I wouldn't say one is better than the other, as I like both Lavazza and Cameron's. Lavazza is generally marketed towards espresso, but I haven't tried this Scandinavian blend for that. For what it's worth, Cameron's Scandinavian blend is great for drip, pour over, French press, and it makes a smooth morning cup.

Thanks for the reply. I was mostly talking lavazza quality in general, but specifically, I suppose the espresso italiano, which is the one that goes on sale more often.

If you're using an espresso machine, and like med/dark roast beans that taste complex and aren't oily (like Starbucks or Peet's), Lavazza Gran Riserva is worth checking out. It's among Lavazza's "darkest" roast It's easier on the grinder since the beans are more matte than "wet oily.". Toffee, hazelnut, chocolatey caramel notes; and no burnt, woodsy and smoky notes, like Peet's (which I also drink; Espresso Forte). Worth checking out and think about putting into your bean rotation!
