Not really. 32gb ram vs 16 gb . 850W power vs 500w. Nvidia 3070ti vs 3070. Yes there is a $400 difference as well so I'm not saying this is a better deal—- only that it is not really a comparable deal.
After searching crazy for all the computer deals, I finally decided to build PC myself from newegg:
- Rosewill ZIRCON I ATX Mid Tower Gaming PC Computer Case with RGB Fan - $49.99
- ASUS Prime Z690-A LGA 1700 ATX motherboard - $219.99 (-$20 rebate)
- Thermaltake Toughpower GF1 850W 80+ Gold PSU - $104.99
- DeepCool AK400 Performance CPU Cooler - $27.99
- Samsung 980 PRO M.2 2280 1TB PCI-E SSD - $109.99
- Team T-Force Vulcan 32GB RAM DDR5 5600 - $129.99
- Wavlink AX3000 Wifi 6E PCIe + Bluetooth 5.2 - $29.99

and:
- Intel i7-13700k - $399.99 (ebay)
- NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti 8GB - $599.99 (bestbuy now oos)

Ended up paying $1652.91 + tax for this configuration! Just deliver them to your house and piece them up. I might end up spending $40 for thermal paste and other stuff, but ultimately for $1699, you should end up with a much better PC !!

This new case from legion looks very good. Seems to be at least mostly standard parts in there. Good balance of looks and airflow.

What's the best plug and play gaming desktop you can buy for around $1K USD, if you are not concerned about upgrading in the future?
Look for something with an i5 or ryzen 5. Minimum 16GB of RAM, 1TB SSD, and at least an RTX 3060 or RX 6600XT.

This would have been perfect if it were an rtx3080. Hoping price will come down a bit in the new year when they launch the rtx4000 lower end series.
Totally agree. If this price has the same specs, but with a 3080, I would pull the trigger for sure. Always been a fan of Lenovo's products and so will this one

Doesn't seem like that great of a deal for last gen hardware. Especially when a massive price cut on the 4080 is supposed to be coming within a month.

BTW I'm building a 13700KF rig with 32gb DDR5 6400 CL32 ram, top of the line 2TB NVME, top of the line AIO, top of the line case, etc. basically everything top of the line except the motherboard. By the time is all said and done I'll be at about the same price target as this deal with a significantly better rig

Exactly my point.

upgraded to i7 13700k/RTX 3080 was $1661 which is cheaper than this lenovo.

Is this still available? Or does CyberPowet have normal times that deals come around?

These have some software issues with the sound/headphone jack. Every time windows gets updated, the pc crashes when playing games or watching movies. Have to delete graphics card software and then download the original lenovo software for sound. Pain in the ass imo.

I got this exact system for my son last year. It's still running perfectly, without the issues you mentioned.

Who has decided that 2 x 3.5" drive bays is enough for these days? Ten years ago 6 bays was normal, today I can barely find a case capable to store at least 6 x 3.5" HD

What about the GPU? Yea you can build a nicely spec'd current gen machine before GPU for around $1300 give or take, but even if you miraculously find a 3070 Ti at MSRP you're still getting close to $2000. And with Nvidia seemingly holding back the 3000 series stock they said they have warehouses of, that's not happening anytime soon.

And the impending 4070 Ti and 4080 drop are still probably going to be $900-1000.

Not saying it's not a better idea to build yourself, but the GPU bottleneck is still a hassle versus having a machine delivered to your door in a couple of days ready to go.

What do you mean miraculously find a 3070Ti at MSRP? they're available all over the place at msrp.

Seems like a decent deal. Anybody have any experience with this Model or better recommendations?

I bought a Lenovo legion desktop 8th gen i7 processor from costco in 2019, it's been great. I don't game but I work in IT and I'd consider myself a power user

I have (4) 4k screens hooked up to mine and it can do everything I throw at it with no issue

I regularly copy blue-ray movies at the same time I'm using handbrake to resize other movies and also watching or streaming another movie

The bios is extremely limited but it supports the intel tuning utility, which is also pretty limited

I really don't need to upgrade but this deal is very tempting, if it was costco I'd buy it.

So I have this exact PC except with the 3080. I bought it in the middle of the chip/GPU shortage. Paid $2500. Over all this PC hase been great. Unfortunately until just recently the aio crapped out. Went to my nearest best buy and picked up a Nzxt kraken. Well installing that was a pain. Lenovo for some reason decided to use double sided tape to secure the backplate. This wouldn't be an issue but Lenovo decided to go against industry standard and use m 2.5 screws. So long story short If you have to swap out the aio it's not easy. Had to use a heat gun to get off the back plate. Also the motherboard doesn't have any extra USB 2.0 hubs so I had to run a cable from inside the case out a back bracket and into a USB port in the back.

Very similar to mine except a 13600k ($300) and an open box (but sealed) 3060ti for $330 on eBay.
