This one does not have lidar
The one with LiDAR is this one. It's decent for the price. Only issue I have with it is certain rugs will cause it to get stuck.

Seems like a good price for auto-emptying... Does anybody have experience if the mapping in this is decent enough?

Does it simply map as it goes every time, or save a map that can be used for smart features such as scheduling and such?

I thought it didn't. Thanks for confirmation. I'm pretty sure this brand make another one which has LiDAR and is self emptying which has been pretty close in price to this. Probably not the best price.

I got the Nova version but unfortunately landed with a lemon (one of the wheels was jammed)...the customer service was prompt to send a replacement (didn't even take the old one back that I need to take the time to see if can fix it๐Ÿ™‚)....the replacement has been working fine and am happy with it

i also have the nova with lidar like many of the other commenters and have been satisfied for the price. i came from a neato d3 connected prior and the ihome has worse suction but is better at navigating. both vacuums got stuck on the thick memory foam bath mats we have so we just put them in the shower when we run the vacuum. the app is functional and auto empty base is great. we've got 2 small dogs and will usually run the vacuum back to back when we're out to get all of the hair. 1 run will get most of it but wifey is a little OCD. the mop is ok but we don't use it very often. didn't leave streaks on our tile/wood the few times we tried it.

i can't compare to roborock but from my research the roborock has better suction and a more functional app. more advanced ones have features like obstacle avoidance, etc. for the price difference, i'd recommend the ihome nova pro

I bought the Nova back in June, just recently been having issues with the the map of my house becoming corrupted. Half of the map is at an an weird angle and merged with the other half. Eventually it ends up just resetting the map, which I then have to go and reset the boundaries, areas etc every damn time. I don't understand why they didn't include a feature to where you can save and reload maps. Also I do make sure all sensors are wiped and thoroughly cleaned frequently.

You can reload previous maps by going to: Settings > History. Try that and see if it works.
