The rtx update is full path tracing, will bring most gpus too there needs at 1080p

it's made by a 3rd party but is supposed to be really good (and it's free but requires you to own Portal 2 on PC)

edit: says it requires an HTC Vive but it might work with other headsets? IDK - I downloaded it when I had a Vive back in the day.

This one you definitely should play. And can be completed in a sitting. About 2 hours to play through.

Welcome to PC gaming! The backlogs are real...hundreds of games here, so little time. Wait til you get on Epic, Origin(EA), UPlay, gog, among other platforms. Tons more games and Epic gives away free quality games all the time.

Portal belongs somewhere at the top of your list. Portal 2 was a masterpiece imo. I dunno about the RTX version as I haven't tried it yet...

Yeah I saw a post somewhere and the 3080 was only getting 1-3 FPS @ 4K with everything maxed. it's going to be a couple gens at least before midrange GPUs can play this level of technology at a reasonable FPS. Reminds me of Crysis.

EDIT: Here is the source 3080 @4K, Max + RT got 1 FPS (No DLSS)

Yeah this pretty much crushes most cards with rtx turned on. Still, Portal might be the best single player experience for me ever.

So we went from "Does it play Doom?" to "Can it run Crysis?" now to "Can it play Portal RTX?" Haha.
