I would never use them again. Rip off and liars go to Tax Act online or through the IRS and go to the free returns Tax Act online is on that does free returns and are the BEST!

I tried their software over weekend. It's so awful to use, I deleted my account. I'm a patient person, I tried several screens on all the softwares this year, freetaxusa, taxslayer, hr block, TurboTax, this one. I don't see how anyone can use this or taxslayer when freetaxusa, TurboTax or hr block have superior interfaces. Using this or taxslayer is like pulling teeth.

Favorites
- freetaxusa as long as they have your state forms. I love their interface the most but there is no fancy document reading like TurboTax. The document automation eg. Reading W2s is not critical

- otherwise TurboTax but stacking as many discounts as possible (chase on screen discount, Amex offers and cashback… still ends up 3X more than freetaxusa but does have all the forms….).

To clarify, freetaxusa should have most people's forms but edge cases still exist where they don't.

100% agreed. Was a turbotax user until this year. Switched to freetaxusa and it was surprisingly good and most of the features turbotax premium had including reporting crypto or share incomes/losses. The only thing cheaper is probably cashapp but they dont have good interface, nor they cover 2 states and many other complex scenarios

CashApp files for free. Been using that service since last five years when it used to be with Credit Karma
And there's always IRS self file
