I do worry myself. Otherwise, I would have sold off my semi vast DVD/blu-ray collection. If Vudu goes down...I'll lose a lot. Mostly tv stuff so MA is no help

I would worry too since VUDU has a high turn-over rate after being sold to Walmart then to Fandango. I only buy non-MA on Amazon, since it will most likely be the last to digital store to close down.

I think the multiple sales of Vudu are a good sign. Walmart used its might to get Vudu onto a lot of hardware in the early days, and was the only B&M operator of a streaming platform that didn't run it into the ground. And Fandango buying Vudu from Walmart is important because Fandango (a) thought it good enough to buy & then collapse FandangoNow into it, and (b) is backed by both Comcast (75%) & WBD (25%) who have a strong self-interest in protecting it, especially as the permanent home of all UltraViolet licenses that didn't port over to Movies Anywhere (and the official retailer of those that did port to MA).

I wouldn't. It would be devastating to the industry if a major player went under and its millions of customers lost their entire libraries. No one would have faith in the business. It's more likely they would get bought by another player like Amazon, Apple, or Google who would be buying millions of potential customers

There are some very good, vintage WB films in this sale that I have never noticed go on sale before. Doesn't mean they haven't or won't go on sale again, but I just wanted to point out amongst the extremely repetitive WB sale items (who DOESN'T own the Matrix?), I picked up:
The Bad Seed (1956) [imdb.com] << two bad TV movie remakes since this release
Clash of the Titans (1981) [imdb.com] << bad 2010 remake
Friday [imdb.com] << so classic they wouldn't dare remake this
Get Carter (1971) [imdb.com] << horrible 2000 remake
The Haunting (1963) [imdb.com] << Coming off Speed and Twister, Jan de Bont turned in 3 consecutive duds with Speed 2, The Haunting (1999), and finally Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life. He hasn't directed a film since and appears to be retired.
