My cat will sleep anywhere but the bed I bought for her so I'll pass.
A cat would rather sleep in the box this comes in than on the mat
Lol I once put the lid of the laundry basket on the ground while I did laundry, and the cat decided it was his new bed. I now don't have a lid for my laundry basket, but my cat is happy.

They had some nice cat and dog beds on clearance for less at my local Kohls...nice quality too. If you are in the market you may want to check there first.

Assuming you still have the bed you bought her, lay a shirt, towel, pillowcase, or blanket of yours on top of the bed. Cats love laying on things that smell like their human so it's a good way to get a cat to use a bed you bought them. I've used this "trick" several times and never had it fail. Eventually you can remove the item and they'll still use the bed because they know that it's comfy and it's become habit to lay in that spot.

Yeah they can be finicky however the self heating mats are a favorite for most cats.Unfortunately the cardboard box always wins for some reason.

Have you tried putting the cat bed on your bed? Or on your pillow? 😸
