Same price as last time this deal hit the Front Page (November '22). 19 available at my local MC - YMMV by location.

Perhaps not as compelling with new CPU releases, but pretty hard to beat for brand new parts - did a modest gaming build for my nephew prior to the holidays combined with an RX 6600 - decent performance and he's quite happy with it.

Brought this when it cost $100. Upgraded it from little less than 3 years ago when Microcenter had the Ryzen 2600x for $80 and you get $20 off when you buy a mobo. Ended up costing around $130 with a Ds3h b450m mobo. My guess is that maybe later this year or early next year we will see combos for 5600 or 5500 for about the same price.

Side note, it seems that the glut of ryzen 3000 cpu's b450 mobo's went to Microcenter to liquidate, lol.

The 3600 actually supports PCIe 4.0 while 4500 only supports 3.0. Just need to pair it with a b550 or higher

Might be an inventory issue seeing as there are plenty of sites that don't show any units in stock(?).

I ordered last night for pickup at the $111.99 price, and my order is ready. The current price is $129.99 on the website for Dallas, TX. It was $115.99 for a month, before they ended the free motherboard a few days ago, glad they restarted this deal again. The $129.99 price for the combo is still okay, but I think it'll fluctuate like Amazon prices based on demand. There was a glitch that send the deal to $99.99 when it started the first time, so there might be a flaw in their system that had to be adjusted whenever they create this combo deal.

That said, I assume that for most folks who aren't serious gamers or power users, this would be way more than powerful enough for what they use a PC for.

Definitely a budget build cpu, or for someone who isn't using their system for video editing or extensive gaming. I used this combo to build a PC for my mom from the last deal. She surfs the net, plays scrabble or what not, and doesn't do anything all that demanding. For cheap money its perfect for her needs.
