I think the listing on Midway is wrong. This is not the LTE with carbon fiber liners per the details on the page. 4.9 oz is the weight of the normal Pentagon XR, the LTE would be 3.6 oz I think. The list price on the LTE is also $50 higher than this listing. The sale price is $209.99, not $89.99.
$89.99 was the sales price of the black handled Pentagon XR I picked up in November. Except there was a 40% off coupon at the time that brought it to $54. I do not think this is a deal.
The LTE version would be a deal at $89.99 as that is a very significant weight reduction but I do not believe that is what you are going to receive.

Calling that a blood groove was a marketing gimmick to make it sound dangerous and cool. It's called a fuller and it's designed to reduce weight without weakening the structure of blade. This one is so thin, it's just for cosmetic purposes.

Thank you for the info! It was a poor attempt at a joke. But I do love learning about knife making, forged by fire is one of my fav shows.
I got this deal for $54 from November's deal posted, since they ran out of the original posts deals at $54, it's it's a nice figidetting tools, I had my local GS put a Wicked Edge mirror finish on it. I personally didn't like it for me, I bought 2 to give away as Christmas gifts, but regardless of my opinion it's a nice blade.
Damn. I saw your comment right after I ordered this deal. Let's hope I'm not disappointed with the fit and finish at least
As others have stated, this is *not* the LTE version. Mine arrived in the mail today. It's the 'plain' XR version. Still a pretty good deal @ $89, and it looks great with grey G10, it's just not the lighter weight LTE version as advertised on Midway.

Yes. You can compare as there's a blue lte on midway site and can see price is double this deal when adding to cart.
search for 729857013284 on midways site then
