For skin cracks of any kind, shea butter is like $6/pound and not only cures cracks in fairly short order, it also provides instant relief for the pain. And because of room-temperature consistency (similar to cold butter), it can be easily shaped and molded for the application and is easy to cover with a bandage.
The only thing that ever helped was o'keeffe's (working hands or happy feet work).
I still get calluses when I get lazy and don't use it but never to the point of cracking anymore and just a couple times of bath time pumice stone with O'Keefe's after set me straight for months.
I'm going to grab one of if these though as the chapstick applicator looks kind of cool lol.

I will likely use your thyroid tips. not sure what t4 is.
Nice! Wish I would have known about it 20 years ago. T4 is storage form of thyroid hormone, your body should convert it to T3 (active form). Some people have problems converting though. Make sure specialist checks T3 and RT3(blocking form of hormone, think severe stress/injury, it makes you tired) and not just TSH/T4. Look up doctors who use T3. It doesn't mean you'll need it, but at least it means the doctor will test more than TSH/T4.
Dry heels is one thing. Severe cracked is thyroid.
