It's big and heavy, built more like a 2012 than 2022 laptop, and gets quite loud, but I had the 12900/3080ti version of this for a couple weeks and found that it lived up to everything you'd expect from the on-paper specs.

I did return mine as it was just too big and heavy for how often I need to carry it, but had I bought this cheaper model I might have lived with that compromise.

Love the G14 I ended up with, but it was hard not to keep such a cheap powerhouse!

Anyone mostly looking for a desktop-replacement or "transportable" shouldn't spend more, this machine will be just what you're looking for.

If you want an everyday laptop that can game, you travel all the time, or want the greatest design/build quality, go ahead and spend more to get less raw performance and better "intangibles"

How could anyone buy a laptop with that god awful "back chin" design? I seriously don't understand how a single model with this type of design has ever sold a unit? So disgusting looking. Not trying to be insulting, just honestly asking what motivates someone to buy something so terrible looking?

anyone know if I purchased this (am still in the return window) if Microcenter can refund the $100+ tax difference as it's now $1100 instead of $1200 without doing a full return and repurchase or exchange? I need the original purchase date to be valid for my credit card warranty purposes.
