What i understand with these lights is they cannot be serialized with other strings so you need to power each section independently

Not a bad price but were 28.00 a few weeks ago at At Home and Best Buy matched for me. Just be aware that the plugs for the lights are not waterproof so need a box for each one as you cannot run in series. Looks like that extension cord might do the trick.
