Free-for-All is BACK! On Sunday, February 5, 2023, over thirty museums—presenting art, cultural heritage, film, natural history, and science—will open their doors and offer free general admission. In other news, FWIW, LACMA is free EVERY DAY after 3PM for SoCal residents. (Does not cover special exhbitions or parking and most of LACMA is a hole in the ground RN, but YMMV).
The following museums in SoCAl are free EVERY DAY so don't waste this free day on them:

Use the day to go to places that normally charge!
Also, FWIW, Bank of America is resuming it's free first weekends program in SoCal with a ton of attractions being free on the first weekend of the month if you show a Bank of America ATM or Credit card. Check the BofA site for participating museums each month.
