Lake Cycling Shoes are clearing their previous year's shoes. Some are 60% off, but most are 40-50% off. Great quality cycling shoes.

Example:

CX 238 was $349.99, now $249.99
CX 1 was $199.99, now $79.99

Yes agree, pretty much mandatory to try them on before buying!

Every brand have a different fit, going by size does not work well here especially going by US sizing.

I would point out at the top is says:

"Please note that all sales in our outlet are final. No returns or exchanges are permitted."
FYI, Lake Cycling make some really awesome cycling shoes that hold up for years. Highly recommend them over all the other Japanese and European brands. I tried and bought numerous brands of cycling shoes through the years. Lake and Specialized are about the only ones that were comfortable. If you are a first time buyer of cycling shoes, I'd recommend going to your local shop to try on some different brands. The size and fit vary widely and a poor fitting cycling shoes will be in your closet or garbage can rather quickly. Now, with that said, I'm picking up another pair of Lake's in my size for myself. Thanks for posting.

Best quality shoes for wide feet, and they actually make wide lasts unlike most if not all other bike shoes manufacturers that add more sidewall material to increase volume but not actual footbed width.

Can anyone give feedback vs Sidi? I'm currently on a 10 year old pair of Sidi Genius shoes and they held up incredibly well. Wasn't that impressed by Shimano, but haven't tried a pair out recently. I've also noticed you can order Siri's cheaply from Europe with the current exchange rates.

Sidi has been around for a long time and pretty much considered the cream of the crop.

Been using Sidi for decades and have tried many other brands in that time.
Have never found any that fit as good.

They are pretty consistent with sizing so if you are happy with them I say stick to them.

Takes getting used to but it's nice not worrying about laces coming undone or getting caught in the drivetrain

It's a popular brand and many local shops carry them.

You could check if any shops near you carry them and go try them on.

If you find it's a good fit, this is a pretty good sale, worth a shot.

I'd definitely buy if I could find the right ones. Just stopped at a trek store to try on shoes today. I have wide feet. The closest store is 120 miles away. 😥

I was worried about the fit too due to the "no returns" policy. Luckily one shop near me had the MTB version of the CX 218 in WIDE available to try. Hopefully this helps you out: I'm usually comfortable in a size 12 street shoe size. On the online size chart, I was a 45 and standard width based on 283mm foot length and 100mm measurement. When I tried on the 45 size in store, it was just a smidge small, width was good, 46 was too long, 45.5 was perfect. I was surprised that 45.5 in WIDE was the best fit.

TD:LR: In my experience, go up half a size from the chart and add 10mm to width.

Back in the 80's, when all cycling shoes were laced and most people were making the transition to clipless pedals, I stuck with toeclips and straps for years because the stretch in the laces and uppers was just too much for me until they started making better shoe cinching mechanisms.

I was getting a hard time from my team mates until we are at an event with the Olympian Nelson Vails, who just so happened to be using the pedals, clips, straps, and shoes that I used - as we discovered when he chose my shoulder to lean on before the start of his race because he was strapped in and didn't want to remove his foot from the pedal.

To piggy back on this, I am a size 12 sneaker also and 45.5 is also the right Lake fit for me, although I am a regular width. My foot measure 95mm Smilie
