Not a great deal. For several weeks around the holidays Dyson sold the V8 Absolute on their own site for $300 - that was brand new and included the newer anti-tangle motorhead, plus the "fluffy" head for hardwood floors. The fluffy head alone is worth around $100. That also included a bunch of useful smaller tools like the up-top adapter and mini motorized tool.

Yes this is the way! I have 3 V8 with DeWalt adapter. Somehow they make the vacuum much stronger!

So is there a way to replace the battery?

That's my biggest hang-up on cordless vacuums - that the product life is limited by the battery.
