One thing to keep in mind when buying ceramic cookware is how the nonstick coating on them works.

"What Is Ceramic Cookware?
Ceramic Cookware is made out of metal, not ceramic. The composition of Ceramic Cookware can vary, but the unifying feature is a sol-gel coating that is bonded to the cookware.

Sol-gel is a silicone oil that is released every time Ceramic Cookware is used. This mimics non stick properties, and is often referred to as "ceramic non stick coating.""

I can't speak for anyone else, but I don't like the sound of a silicone based oil being released every time I cook. There's no definitive study yet, but usually those kinds of chemicals aren't the greatest in your food. Traditional "Teflon" coatings don't really release any chemicals until they are burned or used up. I tend to just buy a cheap Teflon pan once a year just for eggs. Even there I'm using my carbon steel more and more.

They suck. The nonstick is fine. A year later it's wearing out. And one of the smaller pots got crushed and is now bent out of shape. Cheap thin metal body.
But I got my set for $50 for 6 pans so they're disposable. But the lids on these are goddamn evil. It's like someone designed them to piss you off. They left a gap between the glass and metal rim of the lid. Any sort of liquid will get trapped in the gap and is impossible to clean out. You're left with rotting liquid on every lid. It's frankly the stupidest design decision.
Final sale. Cannot be returned. FYI

Are these any good? How do they compare to Calphalon series?

This is as seen on tv ****. Go to their website. It's just an order form to buy a pan.

I wanted to explore the history of "Gotham steel" and there is no such content available.

Practically disposable. Zero quality to the whole set. Better off buying anything else and having a pretty good chance if them lasting longer.

Na, these are likely made by the Joker, because he would be laughing all the way to the bank as you try to use your warranty on them.

Got one of these as a gift. Absolute trash. There are different grades of ceramic coatings and this one is by far the least durable of the ones I've used personally.

Gotham always sticks for me over several tries.

Copper chef the only brand that consistently doesn't stick and lasts.
